Terms and Conditions of hire -Via Email to all hirers
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
Responsibilities of the Wheelchair Mobility Scooter Hirer:
The wheelchair/mobility scooter hirer has to ensure that the wheelchairs/mobility scooter maximum load weight of 18 stone (114kg) will not be exceeded.
Any wheelchair/mobility scooter defects must be reported immediately.
The wheelchair/mobility scooter is to be used in a correct fashion, not causing any danger to either the wheelchair/mobility scooter occupant or to others.
To prepare or return the wheelchair/mobility scooter for collection when the wheelchair/mobility scooter hire time span has been reached.
Punctures/puncture repairs are the responsibility of the wheelchair /mobility scooter hirer.
Loss or damage to the wheelchair/mobility scooter is the sole responsibility of the hirer.
Replacement wheelchairs/mobility scooters are billed as follows:
Self Propelled Wheelchair - £250.00
Transit Wheelchair - £250.00
Childrens Wheelchair - £250.00
Bariatric Wheelchair - £250.00
Mobility Scooters £2500.00
Wheelchair/mobility scooter packaging must be retained for returning the wheelchair/mobility scooter - only if the wheelchair/mobility scooter was delivered.
The wheelchair/mobility scooter must be cleaned prior to return, failure to do so will result in a deduction of £10.00 for cleaning.
No not take your Mobility Scooter off road they are designed for pavement use only.
Folding Mobility Scooters are designed for use on the flat not hills as hills will drain the battery quicker.
The Mobility Scooter hirer must make sure they take the charger with them at all times so you they recharge if needed.
The Mobility Scooter hirer agrees not to charge the Scooter battery for more than 6 hours.
We advise and insist all Mobility Scooter hirers to take out Breakdown cover in an event of a breakdown we recommend ETA Tel 0333 000 1234
Wheelchair/Mobility Scooter Returns:
If the wheelchair was collected from our depot then the wheelchair has to be returned to the same depot.
If the wheelchair was delivered then the wheelchair has to be packed in the same way as it was received.
When the wheelchair is ready to be collected it is the responsibility of the wheelchair hirer to contact us via email or by phone.
Wheelchairs can only be returned between Monday and Friday.
We do not collect wheelchairs/mobility scooter on weekends or bank holiday unless pre arranged.
Wheelchair /Mobility Scooter Defects:
If at any stage during the hiring period the wheelchair/mobility scooter should be defect, the hirer is responsible to contact.
If the wheelchair/mobility scooter is defect it is not to be used in any form until it has been repaired or replaced.
If the wheelchair/mobility scooter has a puncture then it is the responsibility of the hirer to repair or have the puncture repaired.
We do not accept responsibility of the use of a defect wheelchair/mobility scooter which causes damage or injuries.
If you wish to cancel after the statutory 14 calendar day cancellation period and one week before the 1st day of hire, we may have to charge an administration fee that is proportionate.
Should you require to cancel your within less than one week before the 1st day of hire, we will be required to charge a cancellation fee that is proportionate to the loss of the hire.
Should you wish to cancel your order, you can use the cancellation form provided at the end of these terms and conditions, email us with “cancellation request” in the subject or contact us by telephone.
Your right to cancel the hire services will no longer apply upon commencement of the hire.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right not to process your order if:
We have insufficient staff or resources to deliver the services you have ordered;
We do not provide services to your area; or
One or more of the services you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error.
If we do not process your order for the above reasons, we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us as soon as possible, but in any event within 14 days.
If there is a problem with the services
If you have any questions or complaints about the services please contact us. You can do so by emailing us with your “Booking Reference” in the subject or contact us by telephone.
We are under a legal duty to supply services that are in conformity with this contract and in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (the Act).
Liability
We are only responsible for losses that are a natural, foreseeable consequence of our breach of these terms and conditions. We do not accept liability if we are prevented or delayed from complying with our obligations set out in these terms and conditions by anything you (or anyone acting with your express or implied authority) does or fails to do, or is due to events which are beyond our reasonable control.
Furthermore, we do not accept liability for any losses related to any business of yours including but not limited to: lost data, lost profits, lost revenues or business interruption.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

We does not accept any responsibility for misuse or use of a wheelchair/mobility scooter that is not safe. All wheelchairs that are hired are delivered in full working condition. All wheelchairs/mobility scooters supplied meet all British Safety standards for wheelchairs.
